Composition
Each tablet contains : Tadalafil 10 or 20 mg 

Properties / Actions
Tadalafil is a selective inhibitor of phosphodiesterase type 5: It helps the smooth muscles in the penis relax and widen, which allows for more blood to enter. As a result you gain erection faster and easier. Taken on an as-needed basis, tadalafil improves erections in most patients with erectile dysfunction. The long duration of action (up to 24 hours) is an advantage over other inhibitors of phosphodiestarase, enabling more flexibility and spontaneity for men and their partners. It is imported to know that tadalafil don’t work without sexual stimulation 

Pharmacokinetice
Onset :Initial response about 30 to 45 minutes after an oral dose of 10 mg or 20 mg .
Duration : Single dose up to 24 hours after an oral dose of 10 mg or 20 mg . Elimination half life: 17.5 hours. 
Peak plasma concentration is achieved after 2 hours of an oral dose. Tadalafil undergoes hepatic metabolism 

Indications
Vilas improves mild to severe erectile dysfunction of various etiologies. 

Contraindications
Vilas is contraindicated for you if 
- You are receiving nitrates derivatives or nitrate patches which are used for the treatment of angina pectoris ( potential for hypotension); 
- You suffer from a severe cardiac disease or a recent heart attack; 
- You have had recently a cerebro-vascular accident; 
- You have hypotension or uncontrolled hypertension; 
- You are hypersensitive to tadalafil; Women and children under 18 years

Precautions
Don’t take nitrates derivatives if you feel a chest pain while or after sexual activity but call immediately your doctor.
Sexual activity is accompanied with a risk to patients with cardiac diseases, in this case consult your doctor before using this medicine. Use tadalafil with care and after your doctor advice if you suffer from: sickle cell anemia, leukemia, multiple myeloma , polycythema, history of priapism , abnormalities of the penis or severe liver and /or kidney disease.

Drug Interactions
Tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicine. 

Side Effects
Like all other medicines,Vilas is susceptible to show some unwanted side effects, which are normally mild to moderate The most frequent side effects are : headache and dyspepsia.
Less frequents are: back pain ,myalgia, nasal congestion , vasomotor bursts and drowsiness.
Rarely may occur: eyelid edema, ocular pain, red eyes and skin eruptions. 
In rare cases erections may be painful or last for more than 4 h, in this case call immediately your doctor. 

Administration and Dosage
The recommended dose is one tablet of 10 mg before sexual activity . If this dose is not effective for you the doctor may increase it up to 20 mg. Take Vilas tablets with a small portion of water without regards to meals, at anytime from 30 minutes to 12 h before sexual activity. It is not recommended to take more than one dose daily.
